summer day camp
Summer Day Camp provides youth with a structured, productive and fun all-day option for their summer vacation from school. Participants engage in accelerated tutoring and regular trips to the public library to ensure they are prepared to begin school in the fall.
In addition to academic achievement, youth spend their summer healthy and active; swimming, dodgeball, kickball, movies, cooking projects, field trips and art projects fill up their hours at Jane Boyd. Summer 2009 highlights included trips to Bloomsbury Farm and Fort Des Moines, organizing fundraisers to benefit flood recovery with the Start Something program, a camp-wide talent show and camper participation in the 5th Annual ESCO Group Jane Boyd Golf Classic. Summer Day Camp 2010 will return in June 2010. Applications are being accepted now!
